Job Title: HRIS Analyst

Reports To: HRIS Manager / HR Director
Job Summary:
The HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the HRIS platform to support human resources operations and initiatives. This role involves analyzing HR data, generating reports, maintaining HR systems, and ensuring data integrity across HR functions. The HRIS Analyst will work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to implement system upgrades, resolve technical issues, and ensure the HRIS system is used effectively for workforce management, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS System Management:
- Administer and maintain the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the HRIS system in collaboration with IT.
- Implement and configure system updates and enhancements based on user needs and business requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Generate and analyze HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, compensation, benefits, training) for management and HR leaders.
- Support HR teams in creating custom reports to track key performance metrics and trends.
- Design, run, and analyze HR data queries to identify trends and assist with decision-making.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for HR projects and initiatives.
System Integration & Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to integrate HRIS data with other business systems (payroll, benefits, timekeeping, etc.).
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the HRIS system's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide training to HR staff and end users on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
Compliance & Data Security:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding data privacy and security, particularly for sensitive employee data.
- Monitor and enforce access controls to ensure HRIS data security and confidentiality.
- Maintain documentation of system processes and procedures for auditing and compliance purposes.
System Support & User Training:
- Provide ongoing technical support to HR staff and end users, addressing questions and issues related to the HRIS system.
- Develop and deliver training programs to HR team members and end users on system functionality and processes.
- Serve as the point of contact for system troubleshooting and user support.
Project Management:
- Assist in the implementation of new HRIS modules, system upgrades, and enhancements.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for system-related projects and HR initiatives.
- Manage HRIS-related projects, ensuring deadlines, resources, and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HRIS certification or technical certifications related to HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) is a plus.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience working with HRIS systems, preferably in an HR or IT-related role.
- Experience with HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or other HR software platforms.
- Experience in data analysis, report generation, and managing HR processes within HRIS systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex HR data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and other reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, talent management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
